Hp Pavilion Dv4000 By numero9 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Hewlett-Packard Pavillion dv4000 was a top-of-the-line laptop when I bought it three years ago for my onset into collegiate living. That said, it is still holding up fine and still much better than a majority of my friends' laptop computers. The dv4000 boasts an Intel Centrino mobile chipset with 1.8GHz. Don't let that deceive you, with the mobile architecture of Centrino, it optimizes around 3.2GHz as a desktop computer would. This laptop is feature-packed, it has 4 USB slots, a FireWire port, digital media reader, and boasts a glossy widescreen. My only real two complaints that I've ever experienced with this computer are: the maximum resolution is too low for such a nice screen, and the front bottom side's paint comes off very easily. Mine is nearly rusted in that area unfortunately, but it is only cosmetic. I'm sure you can find this computer much cheaper than I did three years ago, and it's probably even more worth it now!
