Hp Pavilion P6520f Desktop Pc A Fast Computer By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I recently was in charge of getting a new computer for our home. I was looking for the most computer I could get for the least amount of money. In other words, I was looking for a great computer but I wanted it to cost as little as possible. The computer was to be used for email, pictures, music, Internet surfing and some light game playing.

I looked at several brands but I kept coming back to HP as I have had very little trouble with them. If I do have a problem, HPs are easy to recover or reformat.

I finally found the HP Pavilion p6520f Desktop PC at Amazon. This computer features:

--AMD Athlon II 635 Quad-CoreProcessor

--6GB DDR3 System Memory

--1TB Hard Drive ( I love this huge hard drive)

--Has a dvd burner

--Windows 7 Premium 64-bit

--6 usb ports (a little door in front slides down to show two ports and a place to put one's microphone and head phone. 4 more ports in the back)

-- Compact Flash I & II, IBM Microdrive, Memory Stick & Pro, Memory Stick Duo & Pro Duo, RSMMC, MMC Mobile, MMC+

--The computer has a two month subscription to Norton installed on it.

Disappointments:

I was a little disappointed that after paying several hundred dollars you still have to make your own recovery disks but that's not unusual with HP.

I pulled up Internet Explorer (IE) and it crash a few times so I had to install Firefox on this computer

This computer did not come with a monitor, but I already had a monitor.

The graphics card is typical for a cheaper HP computer. Generally, HP puts good graphic cards in their more expensive computers only. If you want a computer with a really good graphics card to play a game like Call of Duty, you need to buy one of HP's more expensive computers.

Good:

The HP Pavilion p6520f Desktop PC is easy to set up. You answer a few questions and it comes up to the opening screen of Windows. Windows 7 took a little getting use to, but it's pretty good operating system.

Overall, this computer does well. It can handle running more than one program at a time easily. Everyone who uses it seems pleased. This computer came from Amazon.com with free shipping for $599.

The features are upgraded and the HDD space is alluring. I was thinking of upgrading the desktop, may be a brand new one is a better idea.
