Reviewing: Hp Pavillion Dv6000
Purchased at: Circuit City     Price: $599.00 USD

I needed a laptop to use in different areas of my home as well as when travelling.I was looking in the $500-800 range and I found this laptop on special at Circuit City for $599, which was a great price. It has an AMD Turion 64x2 processor.I wanted a processor on the higher end as I have had bad luck with lower end processors in the past. The speed of the processor is 1.60 GHz and the hard drive is a fairly spacious 120GB.This laptop runs Windows Vista which took me some time to adjust to because I was used to Windows XP.Now that I am used to it, I really like some of the new features.

The weight of the laptop was of importance to me since I would be using it while travelling. It is very slim, compact and fairly lightweight when compared to other laptops.I took this laptop on vacation with me this summer and it did not prove to be cumbersome to haul around at all.I was worried about adding extra bags and things to carry because I have four kids and all of their things to haul as well. This was definitely the lightest thing we had to carry in!!

The battery life is not great.I keep my laptop plugged in the majority of the time but I have noticed that the battery life is on the lower end of the spectrum when I do have it unplugged. This can be inconvenient when travelling if a plug is not readily available.

Overall, this laptop is a very good quality for the price that I paid.It has preformed well and I have not had any technical problems with it thus far.
