Hp Pavillion Dv9000 By Kent on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

HP Pavillion dv9000Intel Core 2CPUT5200 @ 1.60ghz1gb of ramgeforce 7600windows vista capable17.4" screen (very good one)Altec lansing integrated speakersQuickPlay buttons (somebody might find it useful, but not me)Black piano color with ornaments (nice)3x USB portsMemory card reader (SD , MMC, XD, Memory Stick)DVD multi recorderHDMI portWirelesswindows XP media center edition installedBluetoothSo that is my main knowledge about this computer. It has been used for a while before I got it to try,so there was few scratched and paint was somewhere a bit washed out. Computer works really silently, but integrated ventilator sucks- you can't put laptop on your knees "cuz" it will get hot and performance would be tottaly "few frames per second". Ventilator must be opened all the time to get full fast HP performance. The display is very bright, flat, nice to look at,big.I don't know its full resolution. Well,on the downside i can admit HPs weight. this laptop is really heavy. You better take something lighter for you woman :) .There are two speakers, which creates good quality sound ,but lacks bass elements. There are sensoric Quickplay buttons, for DVD,but I found it useless. This HP is strong enough ,I mean I was really surprised how it can take so many working programs (minimized) and at the same time let you play Need For Speed Pro Street at better than mid settings+ kaspersky antivirus is always switched on,and bittorent downloads and uploads content. This laptop is definetely good one. Again,on the downside its black color is dust magnet and I found these QuickPlay buttons (and volume button too) stop working at all, while next day they were working perfectly! That is my short review about this computer.I worked with it about 3 days,no longer.Battery life is short-about 2 hours.I liked:DesignPerformance (excellent)Big screen.I didn't like:Ventilator (HP need to replace it)QuickPlay buttons (simply useless)WeightOverall: Highly recommended. It is very good laptop, Just be sure you won't get bored of its weight and stupidly mounted ventilator.
