Huffy 12 Boys Bikes-How Durable for Young Boys?
By April onWhen my three-year-old woke up on Christmas morning, he was delighted to find an assembled 12" Huffy Uproar under the tree. What I like about the bike is the durability, the never flat tires and the no brake system on the bike. The bike is made of a metal frame, with hard plastic training wheels and a plastic chain guard. The handle bars are rubber and the seat is a synthetic leather material. All of these are durable enough for my rowdy toddler, inside and outside!
The wheels are also a hard plastic, with a unique "never flat" promise.Because they cannot be punctured, I do not have to mess with patching a hole or assembling a new tire to put on the bike.Kudos for thinking of parents! And, perhaps most unique on this bike, is the no brake system.Although that sounds dangerous, for a 12" bike for a beginner, brakes will actually discourage a child from learning to ride a bike in my past experience. My son can ride his bike forward and then pedal backwards for some fun, too!
If you are looking for a 12" bike for a low price, try Huffy's Uproar. If it can please my toddler, it can please any toddler!

Incredible price! The never-flat tires are a must-have for kids.
Wow! you really can't go wrong with the price of the bike. I never knew they made tired that you can't puncture. Sounds like it was worth it to me!
Our first bikes as children were Huffy's very similar to this and no brakes. You are right, that first small bike does much better with no or soft pedal type brakes to eliminate the sudden jerks that cause falls.
That first bike is cool and i'm sure he enjoyed it.
Huffy has been a product that has been around for many years, it is reliable and reasonably priced.
