Humidify with Color and Mist
By Laurel1 onI needed a humidifier to help keep my orchid healthy. My home has a humidifying system, but it wasn't enough to please my Pansy Orchid.I checked into a variety of different small humidifiers, and chose the Mist of Dreams Mini Mist Lamp for its compact size, ease of use, and esthetic appeal.
I found the Mist of Dreams in an eBay store; I haven't found it in any stores near me, but the Relaxus company is Canadian, and has a website (www.relaxus.com ) which can help to locate a retailer. It shipped to me for $5.The Mini Mist Lamp uses ultrasound to create a swirling mist above and around the lamp, creating a natural humidity with negative ions that neutralize household pollutants. It has red and blue LED lights, and the central dome creates a waterfall effect complete with natural water sounds. The Mini Mist Lamp is safe, UL approved, and makes a wonderful background for relaxing while it humidifies and cleans the air.
It is 4 inches high and 8 inches across; it takes an input voltage of 24 VAC and 28.8 watts. It goes together easily -- I could do it with no assistance -- and humidifies at least 100 square feet.Since it works with sound rather than heat, it is safe around small children and pets.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small room humidifier. It's attractive, relaxing, and functional. Not only is my orchid doing better, but so are my nasal passages, and my allergies have been noticeably less aggressive. The lights and water sound make it a great accompaniment for stretching or yoga, and you can add an essential oil to suit your mood. It is much more than just a humidifier, and I may be buying another for my bedroom.

I have never heard of this before, thank you :D
I've seen this at the smaller vendors in the mall kiosks. I've wondered if they functioned well. They certianly are interesting looking. I may just have to purchase one. Thanks.
Wow-this is really, really neat--a humidifier, light show, and aromatherapy and sound therapy! Wonderful!!!
I never thought about using a humidifier for orchids!
Beautiful.
