Hunter Ceiling Fan Beautiful Antique Lamps By crunkyjens on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
As I mentioned in another review my room in my apartment is the last one to get the air conditioning so it is never very cool. I tried my best with a tower fan and while it was ok, it just didn't cool the room down enough. When my parents were down visiting me last month we decided to purchase a ceiling fan in hopes that it would disperse the air around the room a little better.
We went to Home Depot and were immedialtely overwhelmed with all the ceiling fan selections. Of course knowing me, I always seemed to flock towards the most expensive ones too! The fan was going to be one of my birthday presents from my parents so I didn't want them to have to spend too much. I finally found this Hunter fan that was very nicely priced at $69.99.
My mom and dad right away told me Hunter was a really good brand, especially for that price. This fan is 42 inches, has a brushed nickel finish, comes with 5 reversible maple/cherry colored fan blades, and a 3-light fixutre. The cermanic covers on the lights are an antiqued yellow and I think they are very unique. The fan also has a 3 position mounting system, although I'm not quite sure what that means! The fan also comes with a lifetime guarantee! How great is that?
I finally was able to put the fan together and I had the maintenance guy from my apartment complex come and put it up. The fan is very quiet and works very well! Finally when I wake up in the middle of the night I am not drenched in sweat! Hopefully this means too that I don't have to keep my air as low during the night so I can save some money on my electric bill! I will keep you all updated. :o)

Hunter does nice fans. I love the fan section in Home depot, lowes etc !
I have heard that having a ceiling fan can reduce your electric bill during the summer and winter months. Thanks for sharing.
