Hunter humidifier is not completely CareFree
By bellastella227 onMy daughter's room gets really dry in the winter.I decided it was time for a new humidifier.I was tired of cleaning and hunting down replacement filters for my old one.I did a quick search of reviews online and came across this humidifier by Hunter. It is considered CareFree because it has a permanent filter you never have to replace.
CareFree does not mean you do not have to maintain and keep it clean during use.I recommend to dump the whole thing out and wipe it out 1-2 times a week.If you do not do this, the water inside will start to turn yellow and tiny pieces of particle will start floating in it.I believe this is the anti-bacterial material that coats the permanent filter.
The humidifier seems to work well, the water level does go down so you can see it must be going somewhere. It is a little noisy, but not any louder than any other humdifiers I've tried/used.It has a neat nightlight feature that they call NiteGlo.It casts a blue light through the water, which I found to be calming and my daughter found comforting.Of course, the light went out just this week and we have had it for about a year now.I have to look into how to replace it.
I would recommend this humidifier. It is easy enough to maintain, it is nice not to have to buy and change filters at all, I like the NiteGlo feature, and it is cool mist.

This sounds like a nice product. I need to look into these because my son gets a bloody nose at night, from time to time.
u wouldn't have to worry about that down here... It's too humid!
