Hyundai Tiburon Gt 2003 By reneecancun02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We bought our son the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT for his 19th birthday. The car is very sporty looking and turns heads when you driv it. The one we purchased is a 6 cylinder 6 speed. It has a very sporty looking interior too. And normally I always thought sportly cars weren't the most comfortable inside, but this one isn't actually bad. The seats are pretty comfortable and have decent cushioning.
The car is not very big so it wouldn't make a very good family car. But for a 19 year old boy who wants to be cool, it's pretty great. Also for the younger ones who need to save money, it gets very good gas mileage. It's been running almost 30 mph on the highway.
We did have a couple of minor repairs that had to be made to the car after we purchased it. The check engine light came on and it was the O2 sensors that weren't operating correctly. They fixed it and we haven't had any problems with it since.

It sounds like your fun will have a ball with this car!!! It's also great that this car gets wonderful gas mileage!!!
I have never seen one of this that Iknow of..our son will start driving soon :O
Sounds like the best of all options... great looks and decent mileage at an amazingly affordable price for a sports car. Pretty lucky son!
My 19 year old daughter is looking to replace her Ford Explorer due to the gas prices. I will have her take a look at this car. She wants something sporty.
These cars are a great combination of economy and sporty looks. It would definitely make a great first car. Thanks for the information.
My 5 year olds father had one of these. It was a nice little car but he seemed to always be having issues with the air conditioning system in it. I think he had it fixed 3 times before wrecking the car and totaling it out.
I wanna be your son! Heck Or even your daughter LOL
I have to say that my Hyundai paperweight has a very comfortable interior with a small back seat. I had numerous issues with mine, the worst being an intermittent problem that made it impossible to rely on for transportation. Although I would never purchase one again I am pleased that you were able to find one that met the needs of your family.
What a lucky kid:0) Sounds like a really great car.
Sounds like he has great parents. I am not sure if I have seen this car before or if I just havent paid attention but it sounds like a cute little car. And these days gas mileage is everything.
