I am collecting dried seashells...

Filipinos are known for being hardworking and creative. When it comes to crafts, you will appreciate not only the looks but the details and the uniqueness of the products. If you think that different dried seashells can be collected and display without any alterations then don't until you see these pieces. Hubby bought this in Legaspi (Bicol Region) during one of his business trips. He was fortunate to visit a place where different products (handmade and not) are being sold. Aside from abaca slippers, he bought these 3 pieces of dried seashells where my name and our 2 kids are engraved on it together with some objects like boat, tree and a fence. For me pieces like these are so precious to treasure and display at home because it is not only a work of my fellow Filipino but I put much value on the creativity, effort and the time that person spent working with it.

I asked hubby that next time he will have his business trip he will buy several pieces where the names of other extended family members are engraved into it to complete my collection. Anyway, collections need not to be that expensive. :)
