If someone had told me that all I needed to clean the bricks of my fireplace was a little magic, I would have probably told them, "yeah right, I can't buy magic". I got news for you! You can buy Magic and it works like a charm. I am not sure just who makes it, and if anyone does, please let me know, but everyone probably knows what I am referring to anyway.

It is called Magic Eraser, and it has a picture of the "Mr. Clean" guy on the package. A good friend of mine had told me about cleaning her boyfriends mothers bricks around her fireplace with the Magic Eraser and said it got off all the soot and blackness. I told her I would give it a shot, and I did. My oh My,,there is still some Magic in this world..

I started off with a bucket of water and one Magic Eraser erasers, and just the first swipe on the bricks made me a believer! It was removing the soot so well, that I knew I have found the right product.

I had tried everything to clean my bricks and I would get some off, but the bricks would still be discoloured and I hated it. It always looked like I just wasnt' putting enough "elbow grease" to it to get them clean. But, I honestly did try, and no product that I had or went out and bought worked. Thank goodness for the Magic Eraser! It really takes the soot and the black off of bricks from the fireplace.....just like MAGIC!
