I gotta Moleskine
By Cyn Bagley onJust a few weeks ago I was wandering through Borders (it's my hobby to wander through bookstores and smell newly printed books) when I found a rack filled with the legendary Moleskine notebooks. If you remember your trivia, several authors liked to carry these notebooks to write notes for their books. Even van Gogh used a moleskin sketchbook. Some of the history of these notebooks are at this url: http://www.moleskine.com/eng/default.htm .
Okay so I found a rack filled with these notebooks, and turned to my husband.
"It's pink." I said.
He laughed, "Yes, it's pink."
I grabbed my own piece of history (but pink) and bought it.
Yes, I love this notebook. It is the right size to carry and put into my purse. I can make notes, organize my thoughts, and I love how it feels in my hand. And its pink. No self-respecting man will take this notebook. Even my husband who carries a moleskine for his electronic and computer notes will not be stealing my beloved moleskine.
Even if you don't live in the states I am sure you'll be able to find these Italian notebooks. And you'll love them too.
Just a note... the notebooks were two for 12.00 dollars--a little more expensive than other notebooks, but worth it in the long run.
