I Love Chocolate And I Love Coffee! By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I adore me some chocolatey goodness and java. There aren't that many candies that I have found which marry the two, especially ones that I can pick up at the grocery store. I have been a fan of Starbucks Espresso Truffles since I first tried them. They are so so so good.

The box I mostly recently purchased is 4.2 oz (120 g). There were 10 chocolates in the box. Each candy is individually wrapped. As long it is not too hot out, one can feasibly throw a truffle or two in their bag, without things getting too messed up. I've done it a few times.

The truffles are made with Starbucks Espresso Roast and boy, do they taste like it.

They taste strongly like coffee. The chocolate is sweet, not at all bitter, even though, it is made with dark chocolate. The consistency is a harder outer shell and a softer inner part.

The next best thing about these bad boys, ranked under how amazing they taste, is their reasonable calorie content. For a 3 piece serving size, one consumes 180 calories and 14 grams of fat. Basically, if I wanted to indulge in some luxurious espresso-action that day and have one piece, that would only cost me 60 calories. Not bad at all!
