I Love My Tree Book! By MichelleLeanne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is "my" tree book. I love it! I have been more of an indoor girl until this past spring and being an academic I felt I needed an easy to use book on trees for when I went hiking. I knew that I needed something easy to use otherwise I would not use it which would just be a waste. I have to say that I am really happy with my decision to go with this particular book. Of course the National Audubon Society is a trusted name but it is the way the book is formatted that sealed the deal for me. The first few pages include a glossary of leaf shapes which helps the reader identify the type of tree. The book is divided by types of trees. After the glossary is a huge amount of pictures of the leaves, berries, flowers (categorized by color) with corresponding page number for more detailed information on the tree. While this book has a lot of information it is pretty compact complete with a plastic cover. I cannot say enough about this book and I always carry it with me when I go for hikes or just simple walks through the woods. It's a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
