I Love To Laugh At My Laaf By Alice on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

The first time I saw one of the Laaf figurines was at a collectible show and I fell in love with them. These figurines come in all sizes from ornaments to large garden pieces, to ones inside your home. Each one comes with their own papers which you can mail in to register it to you.

This piece is called Look the Digger and he is the center of attraction in our front garden. He looks like he has just dug his way from underground and is surfacing with his shovel in hand looking quite happy to have surfaced where he is - MY garden!!

Digger is quite large measuring about 22 inches high and about 17 inches wide. The only problem I have had after 5 years was some of the paint was starting to crack in places. I took a little sand paper and some craft paint and touched up the spots, gave him a coat of polyurethane spray and he was ready to dig around in my garden for another 5 years. We have always stored him inside for the winter months and something I would hghly recommend.

Digger makes me laugh and smile when I come home from a hard day at work and he attracts lots of attention with the neighborhood kids!!

Update Posted on :

We brought down another of our Laafs from the storage space up in our garage today.  This little guy peeks out at all the neighbors over our fence.  I've also added a picture of what he looks like from our side.

I was going through pictures and found one of Loafer the Floater, our pool Laaf.  Check him out, he's too cute!!

I love it! I like to hide little figurines in my garden or in the flowers. It's fun to see the grandkids search for them. Even my daughter has little figurines in her garden. I bought her some when she first moved away from home. Touching up the paint and applying a protective coating is a great idea.

Those are really cute. I don't have a garden but if I did I would probably get one of these little figurines

Oh my gosh, he is so cute. I've never heard of these. I love little things in the garden. I am glad you were able to repiar the paint, it would have been a shame if you couldn't
