By Chocollette onI am a collector of Precious Moments figurines and received one of the most beautiful figurines as a wedding shower gift.
I got married in 1995 and this particular figurine was introduced in 1993 but was temporarily retired or suspended in 2005 (it has since been reintroduced).This particular model is called "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" and depicts the sweetest African American couple on their wedding day.The precious groom has the most beautifully sculpted hair with curly locks.He is dapper in his white wedding tux with the biggest yellow bow tie with polka dots all over it!He also has the slyest smile on his face as he is standing on his bride's cascading gown!
The bride is stunning in her long white gown!Her veil goes past her shoulders & locks of curly brown hair peek underneath.She is clutching for dear life her beautiful bouquet of flowers (it kind of reminds meof myself on my own wedding day!).
We had a groom's cake and a wedding cake on our wedding day and showcased this piece of art on top of our wedding cake.Thirteen years later, this figurine still looks brand new and still brings back lovely memories of one of the most beautiful days of my life.
This sounds so special! I don't think I've seen this one.
