I Set My Friends On Fire You Can't Spell... By sloane on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Oh, I set My Friends On Fire...you never disapoint! And how true. After thier hit "Crank That (calvary kid)" they became icons of a new hardcore scene. Thier first CD entitled 'You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter' gives a very relavent example of thier somewhat morbid humor. But thats not the only notable thing from this album. The lyrics are fantastic, and really captivate you, even though you can only understand about half of them! But that half is just astounding. They capture feeling so well, and really twist the reader, taking them on a rollercoaster of emotions ranging from happiness, and love to depresion and suicide. But not only do the lyrics make you think, the instrumental pieces are also fantastic. They are all written by one person, Nabil Moo. He matches the actualy music its self so well with the vocals done by Matt Mihana. Together you have a surprising team capable of making astounding music, and a fab CD!

I recomend this CD for anyone that is looking into the hardcore scene, it is a fantastic example of how beautiful the music can actually be.
