My husband has been using IAMS original with chicken dry cat food for his cats for years. The cats seem to enjoy it, that is one of the reasons he has been staying with this food. Plus, IAMS is a good brand.

One thing that has been disappointing, though, has been happening just lately. Hubby used to get a 20 lb bag of this food at Walmart for $26.99. A 20 lb bag lasts for quite a while, and he didn't have to go out and buy food so often. Well, lately Walmart has been carrying a 14 lb bag for the exact same price. Six pounds less is a big difference. So my husband has been purchasing the 20 lb bag at Petsmart. They are still selling it for $26.99. I'm afraid, though, that eventually they will switch over to Walmart's plan, and then my husband intends to switch to another food.

Until that happens, the cats will continue to get IAMS original with chicken. It is the Proactive Health formula, and the cats do very well on this food. A good food for the cats, and as long as my husband can get the 20 lb bag at Petsmart for $26.99, the cats will continue to get IAMS. But if Petsmart starts carrying the downsized bags at the same price, hubby intends to change to another food.
