Ibanez Sc 220 Electric Guitar By Patrick on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have been playing guitar for about 7 years now, and this is only my second electric guitar, which I believe is a good sign for this guitar. I have been playing this guitar for right at 5 years and am still very pleased with its playability. At $600, its not the cheapest guitar out there, but is definitely not outrageuos in price either. I would greatly recommend this guitar for an intermediate player. Its construction, mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, is very noteworthy, and it provides a great sound. I will admit that a neck-through construction would provide more sustain and that it can sound twangy at times, warranting some consideration in string and amp selection. While there are some characteristics I would like to change, and an upgrade would be nice, I can not fault this guitar in the least as it has, and is still, an excellent instrument and has served me wonderfully in the past 5 years.
