Ice Age: The Meltdown By Uaezarb By uaezarb on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Ice Age: The Meltdown came out in 2006 this is a well-done children's animated feature that is a sequel to the first Ice Age hit from 2002.

The same characters from the first movie are also in this sequel. Manny the Mammoth, Sid the Sloth and Diego the Saber tooth Tiger are all living in a frozen valley with their other animal friends when a buzzard informs them that the glaciers are melting and the melting is soon going to cause the whole valley to flood. They and all the other animals must make it to the end of the valley where they can be saved by a makeshift boat made from a hollowed out log. Along the way they meet another mammoth named Ellie who thinks she is a possum like her brothers.

It's a nice story that is based on the Prehistoric Ice Age and today's global warming. It also shows a lesson on how the animals have to get along with each other.

The animation is so realistic in this movie, especially the water and the detail on the animals fur. I loved the story and so did my four-year-old grandson. He has watched the movie over and over and has not gotten bored with it.

I have enjoyed the Ice Age movies, and I can't wait to see the newest one, Dawn Of The Dinosaurs! Good review by the way.
