Icemat 2nd Edition Black By Baseline on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Ah, a cool, glass mousing surface. Who would've thought, a glass "mouse pad". The folks at icemat did. And having this product for nearly 2 years now, I can say that they made a fine product that takes day in day out use without a hitch.

So just how is mousing on glass surface? Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess that a mouse will probably slide across glass faster than your run of the mill office store $5 cloth pad with a picture of barney on it. Yes, they made this icemat for gamers, and probably more so for those gamers that play at low-sensitivity and want to flick their mouse very quickly with minimal effort.

I am one of those former gamers, and yes, this pad holds up to all of those standards, you'll love it for gaming. Also, it's nice to lay your wrist on the cool smooth glass from time to time. Cleaning it is a breeze, just wet a paper towel and give it a few wipes. The manufacturer recommends AGAINST using any kind of chemical, as that can damage the mousing surface, which is more than just glass. There is an actual surface on this piece of glass that will facilitate mouse tracking.

Overall, a stellar product. I've dropped it from about 2 feet, and it didn't break either. Sturdy as well I'd say!

If it didn't cost 50 dollars...and If I didn't have a laptop I would definitely buy this.
