I knew I needed a cooling pad when I bought my laptop back then. A friend of my brother's happened to work in a computer stuffs store, and he offered me this cooling pad from C-Pad model ST01. It's China-made and it was far better than other similar ones in the market with the same price. The dimension is 300 x 250 x 40 mm and it's just a perfect size for my laptop. The material is made of thick plastic and looks solid. The color is black, glossy elegant black. There are four small round rubber pads on each corner to prevent the laptop from being slid. The slanted surface is designed ergonomically for the laptop; just the right angles for the eyes and neck. The two fans are of white-colored, and they don't make any noise, which is a good thing. There are two USB plugs located at the back at the center between the two fans. It also comes with a USB cord and so far I don't find any flaws with the USB cord, nor the fans. It doesn't come with a warranty but I don't think I would need it because it works great for me so far. It doesn't scratch easily either. To summarize, this is an ideal cooling pad for my laptop.

not sure how much these things usually cost but i figure if its electronics related, they must usually be pretty expensive so $8 sounds like a good bargain!
