Ideal for potty training special needs kids
By Chocollette onAs a parent of a special needs boy, the older my son gets, the harder it will be to find suitable underwear/training pants for him (he is nine years old) but for now, these Huggies have been a true God send. The Pull Ups provide a sense of independence for my son in that he can pull them up & down but sometimes he is hard on them & when he pulls them up, the sides come apart (the sides have a Velcro option for faster & easier access).I do wish that the Pull Ups were made of a heavier material because they are so lightweight but to teach my son potty training, these really are ideal for his needs. For my son's size-4T-5T, the pattern on them is from the movie "Cars"which he loves butI wish that there was more of a variety of patterns for the particular sizes.Overall, I am very pleased with how these have taught my son independence.

Glad they are working for you. Anything that helps on the path to independence!
To bad they are not a bit stronger, but glad to hear they are working pretty well for you.
Great info! I'm sure it will help a lot of people out with their kids! :-)
My grandson has used the pull ups. They are a must have when potty training!
My youngest son is having night time issues and these have been a life saver for him as well. I like the underwear looking style, so he doesnt feel like he is in a diaper.
Thanks for sharing something so personal with us. This is a very important issue for a special needs child. I think it's great that they are just what you need right now. Hopefully you will find something to replace them when the time comes. Maybe you should contact the company and see if there are any products in the planning stages. If not, they need to know that this is a much needed product!
We used Pull-Ups for our son too and now that he grew out of those we use Goodnights also from Huggies. They are for older children that wet at night and may be a good option for you as your son gets older.
When I was raising babies, there were no such things. I certainly am glad for my daughters' sake that diapers have come such a long way!
