If Cooks Could Kill By Joanne Pence By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Joanne Pence has written the Angie Amalfi Mysteries, a series of books of which I have read about two or three. I am enjoying these books, and this one is no exception.

Angie Amalfi lives in San Francisco and has made numerous attempts to get into some type of food business, since she is a gourmet cook. But right now she is interested in matchmaking, because she is engaged to her hunky Homicide Inspector boyfriend, Paavo, and she wants everyone to be as happy as she is. She tries to hook up her girlfriend, Connie, but things go awry. Connie gets stood up and instead takes an interest in a stranger she meets who looks like he has seen better days. Then Connie is arrested for a jewelry robbery and homicide which she did not do. And of course, someone gets killed and things really begin to heat up.

The book is interesting and has some funny moments. I have been entertained by all of the Joanne Pence books I've read so far in this series. This book I have in paperback, and it has 302 pages plus a few recipes in the back and some excerpts from some of Joanne Pence's other novels.

Sounds like a great book. I'll give it a try.
