If You Give A Cat A Cupcake is written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. This is another wonderful book in a series by Numeroff and Bond called If You Give A ..... This series includes titles such as If You Give a Mouse A Cookie, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, If You Give a Pig a Party and If You Give A Moose A Muffin.
In the story, If You Give A Cat A Cupcake, a cat gets everything he wants from a cupcake with sprinkles to a trip to the beach and to the science museum.
Numeroff's books start with an animal getting something which leads to it getting more things and the story always end up with animal getting the same thing he got in the beginning of the story. The stories are wonderful and are simple enough for even a toddler to understand. This book is aimed at small children from about two to six.
This is not Numeroff's best book but it is still a nice story with great illustrations that children will love.
