I bought the Ikea 365 untility knife when all my other basic knives seemed to have lost their edge. I wasn't expecting much out of a rubber handled $4 knife, but was pleasantly surprised.

The knife is very comfortable to hold and work with. The edge does tend to wear down, but if I need a really sharp edge I just run it through my knife sharpener a couple times and it is as good as new. Another bonus is that it appears to hold up very well to being washed in the dishwasher - I have had the knife to a year and a half now and it does not seem to show any negative side affects. The only thing I have not found it to be as great at is cutting particularly hard items, such as apples. The blade is a little to thin and unsteady for this type of work.

I would highly recommend this knife for anyone looking for a reasonable knife to do everyday work in the kitchen. It has been great on anything from vegetables to trimming a pork tenderloin.
