Ikea Malm Bed Frame I'm Not A Fan, Don't Buy By Sneha Rr on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Man oh man. I've tried everything to make this bed comfortable. Lesson learned, you can't have a good bed with a bad frame. I've spoken to 3 other friends with this bed and they all complain it's horrible. One and myself included even have back pain sometimes. Yeah, it's that bad. After a long hard of school you need a comfy bed and this is so not it. It causes more stress and you can't relax on it. I've made my bed tolerable now with mattress foams and things. Now that I think about it I could have just bought a better bed frame. And it's not just the frame its like 30 more bucks for the slatted base which are most horribly uncomfortable designed things I've ever seen. This thing is my worst buy. I regret buying this big time. Remember your sleep is important, get a comfortable bed.

How disappointing! IKEA stuff looks so cute and it is inexpensive. I slept on a slatted futon for years, but then, I was in college so I did not really care.

We plan on getting the frame but using our current mattress. I don't like the mattresses they have at IKEA. We already have the dressers to this set and they have survived one move and are holding up great.
