Ikea Poang Chair By Tsctsc By tsctsc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As I write this review I'm sitting in my Ikea POANG chair with my laptop. I work from home with my laptop and tend to spend the majority of my day seated. I needed a chair that would provide comfort even after long hours of sitting in it, but with enough firmness to keep my back straight.

First off, the design of this chair is very unique. It has no back legs, only supported by two front legs that curve under it to provide balaned support. This allows the chair to rock a bit and gives it a very modern look. The chair is very durable, but if you're over 300 pounds it is NOT recommended.

The width of this chair is excellent, too. It's slim enough that my elbows always have a place to rest without reaching out, but wide enough that I can easily use a laptop withing maneuvering my elbows around the armrests like with my LA-Z-BOY.

If you're the kind of person whose work requires long stretches of sitting and need a chair that will remain comfortable without turning your back to mush - the POANG is for you.
