iLife 08: Get all the media software you need

All new Macs come with the newest edition of iLife. Its basically a suite of programs of digital lifestyle applications. iLife 08 includes iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, iWeb, and iDVD. While all of these programs are great together they are even better. Apple has worked hard to make integration between these programs easier, and I personally noticed. While some of these programs you might rarely use, others you might learn to depend on. Its easy to organize all your photos using iPhotos new features. The upgrade of iPhoto alone was worth it for me to upgrade. I, like much of the population, don't really like the new iMovie. Its a little dumbed down and bit more complex. Luckily, when you install iLife it keeps a copy of iMovie 06 for you to use. As time has passed I have gotten more comfortable with iMove, but its really personal preference. iWeb is pretty great when you need to make that fast family website or simple project, but if you are serious then you will probably need to stick to something a lot more professional. I never really used iDVD that much so I can't really say anything about it. An as far as Garageband goes its pretty good and a lot more stable than before.
