I'm Crazy About Bagolitas! By Zula on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My first introduction to Bagolitas handbags was two years ago when my son and daughter-in-law gave me this beautiful handbag for mother's Day. Now, I'm crazy about Bagolitas!
Bagolitas are spunky, colorful and unique fabric handbags made by Bagolitas by Janice. The company started in 2005 and is based in North Liberty, Iowa. Their products are only sold through Independent Bagolitas Consultants and through the website.
Each handbag is handmade by seamstresses using coordinating fabrics and matching trim or fringe. The Standard Collection offers 16 different fabric combinations to choose from and changes every Spring and Fall. The company makes several styles of handbags, which range in size from the petite Biddy {5" x 6 3/4"} to the classy Barron {12" x 12"}.
My handbag is called the "Beverly", which is approx. 11" wide, 8" high and 4" deep. The handles are 19" long. The fabric used to make this handbag is called "Root Beer Float", which is a soft suede material. The interior of the handbag and the handles are made from a subtle striped fabric. There are 3 pockets inside, perfect for holding a cell phone, car keys. etc. The handbag has shaggy brown fringe around the top of the bag. It has a magnetic snap closure. I love the size of this handbag. It's perfect for me!
Bagolitas handbags are colorful, chic and trendy. Who could ask for more?
