I Mac Revolutionary Evolutionary By Matthias on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When the iMac first came out, it was a revolutionary piece of machinery. Reason being, it is entirely one piece. Many times people look at my 24" display and are amazed and then ask, where is the tower? What tower, I say. There are in disbelief when they realize the the entire machine is IN the display. The all in one machine is not only well designed aesthetically, but well designed all throughout. It is an extremely fast machine before customization. This mac can hold up to 4gb of ram. What is really special is the operating system that is included in this monster. There are too many features to name of so just go to apple.com and look at their operating system OSX. Here are some of my pro's and cons.Pros- all in one - OSX - Snappy response - Bright display- Great viewing angle -Extremely quiet - great service (apple)Cons- maxes out at 4gb of ram- Expensive to customize- not expandable- No SD card slot- All hook ups on back, hard to access (usb/ firewire)

I agree with your review. We had them in my previous job. Well, I used a Macbook but our volunteers used the iMac. My husband is a computer tech and we are always looking for computers that are easily upgraded because computer technology changes so often.
