Imaginarium Light Sound Stacking Train By Jessica Yamaguchi on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We got this for our son as a gift for his first birthday. We were orginally looking for a set of blocks and came across the Imaginarium Lights and Sound Train.

This toy has 22 pieces-in a variety of shapes and colors, some of the blocks even have patterns All of the pieces are wooden. There are 3 base train cars, each has wooden "pegs" and the blocks have holes in them to fit the pegs. So the blocks build your train cars. There is also a large red wooden button on the Choo-choo that activates the "headlight" and the train whistle...it also makes a minute of chuga chuga train noise! LOL!It also has wooden wheels that do spin so it can be pushed along.

We think this is pretty cool and my son absolutely LOVES it. The box says it is recommended for ages 18 months and older so we play with it with him. He likes pushing the easy to find button that makes noise and although he is clumbsy still- he does try to push it along.

There are not tiny pieces for choking hazards, it uses 2 AAA batteries included when you buy it. This is a good toy for promoting visual tracking, motor skills and more.

Oh.. I would like to add that this is not an overly loud and annoying toy either! There si No volume adjustment but you don't really need one, it actually pretty quiet...loud enough to entertain baby and not disturb everyone in the room!

We bought ours at Toys-R-Us for around $16.00, I am not sure where else would carry this.
