SD Cards are like every other form of technology. The size rises and the prioce falls over time. It is hard now to find a small 256 MB SD Card, but when you can they are a great commodity to have for the price.

For anyone who takes a lot of pictures or short movies on their digital camera, a smaller SD card can help you to better organize your information. My family digital camera only runs with 256 MB SD Cards. The reason I do this is to seperate the trips. Each card will hold around 100 photos at 5.0 MP and that is perfect for each trip. With seperate cards I am spending the same amount of money on say four 256MB SD cards as I would one 1 GB SD Card and I can change each for a different trip.

A 256 SD Card can also be used for extra storage on a Palm or PDA. Again several small SD Cards can heklp incase of a data crash. If you only have a small amount of data on each card you will have less of a chance to lose all the information.
