Jack Johnson is one of the most original singer/songwriters of our time. If you have not yet heard him, this is the album to start with. I find this cd to be more melodic than his first two albums. While the principle is the same, and Jack is strumming away on his guitar as usual, this record is somehow more grown-up. People who are already fans can expect to be as impressed as usual with this third attempt. Johnson never lets me down. I always know that I can pop in his cd and enjoy all the songs on it. He is the sort of artist that makes you think, and makes you want to do things to make the world a better place. And he does it by singing to you. Beware sad people: this is not an artist for you. Jack Johnson is a smile-maker! Try "Banana Pancakes," "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing," and "Constellations" to fall in love with In Between Dreams.
