Independence Ironstone China

Independence Ironstone China was a gift for our wedding. It is durable and dishwasher safe. It is very useable china, and is now a family heirloom. It has been passed down through the generations. It has already survived an enourmous amount of use. I have the white set. We have used this on a day to day basis. I have no idea what it's value would be in todays market. I know that it is heavy, well, made china! It is marked 1776. It has the star pattern on the back. This china was made in Japan, a very long time ago.This plates have a grooved pattern entailing the inside of the plate. I am surprised that even being dropped over the years, they have never broken and remain in tact today! I will continue using this china and enjoying it's simple beauty! This set is all basic white and has no decorations or any coloring. The white set really compliments the table in color contrast to placemats and table cloths! It has been a pleasure to set the table with !
