The porpuse of the sleep positioner is to keep your baby stationary and comfortable while they sleep. At first I really thought that this would be nice since you can keep your baby from rolling around, especially if they are sleeping on your bed in between nursing sessions. One thing I found is that my child seem to be pretty uncomfortable in it. Probably because he was unable to turn his head, I also found ou that if you have a big baby they may fit a little too snug into the sleep positioner. They say that it is adjustable but it really is only adjustable to a certain point. The best thing about the sleep positioner is that you can take it and pop it in the washing machine, but I would recommend that you air dry it instead of putting it in the dryer so it wont shrink up.
