Ing Pays You To Bank By pamarama on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

It's nice when a bank actually pays you to bank with them, instead of expecting you to pay to bank with them. Since I opened my ING Direct savings account I have seen my savings and the interest rate climb steadily. I have never been so pleased with any bank account in my life. Also, when I convinced some of my family members to open an account, we all got another $25. Actually I got $75 because three of them opened an account, and they each got $25. The ING bank online is also very secure, they have a unique pin system that uses photographs and a keypad. I also find it very easy to transfer money from other accounts, both in and out of my ING account. ING Direct's only drawback is that they don't offer a lot services including checking accounts. But that is probably why they can offer such good interest rates.

This was accurate when it was written. Yes, ING has updated their services. they now have checking since they bought Netbank. They have not had checking out accounts for a year, more like a few months. They have run their deposit special more than once. They even ran it last fall (again, not a year ago). They still use a unique photo based pin system.
