Insignia Ns Dv2 G Mp3 Player By Kilraven on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We were looking for a reasonably priced (under $100) MP3 player, with FM capability and decent-sized screen. After comparing several players at Best Buy, we chose this Insignia NS-DV2G. Has 2G internal memory with the possibility of 2G expansion via a microSD. It plays audiobooks, video, FM, and displays album art if available. No software or drivers were needed for XP, and syncing was easy with Window Media Player.

I've had no problems thus far and it works great connected via USB on my Kenwood car stereo - perfect for listening to podcasts on the way to work. The FM, as expected, is limited thanks to lack of external antenna. There is a limitation to the types of formats used, hence the MP3, so don't expect to play your AAC or FLAC files with it. The battery life seems good, but then again I'm charging it everytime I sync to my PC or connect to my car stereo.

If you're in the market for a easy-to-use MP3 for under $100, this would be it. I'd recommend picking up a 1-2G microSD while you're at it, a cheap way to double your storage space.
