Instant Fisherman By Lindy Smith on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I was recently watching tv and came across a commercial for the Instant Fisherman. I usually don't even pay attention to stuff like this but was morbidly curious about it. They run a buy one, get one free promotion so I figured I'd give it a try. When compacted, the Instant Fisherman is about a foot long and doesn't take up too much room when you're ready to go fishing. To use it, you flip open the handle, extend the eyelets and you're ready to go. It's a really easy design and actually holds up much better than I expected something so simple to. It's not a professional pole by any means, so if you're a serious fisherman, you won't like it at all. If you're just a casual fisherman or just wanna get out of the house with the kids one sunny morning, this might be worth your while. It comes with a 30 day guarantee, so if you have any issues, you can just return it with no questions asked. I let my daughter use one while we were out and she had no difficulty working it at all. She caught a few sunnies so she had a prize to bring back home to mom and everything. The price is pretty good, but the twelve dollars shipping and handling kinda caught me off guard. Still, it's a nice set of poles for the casual fisherman, so if you don't need top of the line fishing gear and don't mind shelling out a few bucks for shipping, I'd recommend the Instant Fisherman.

I've heard of the pocket fisherman but never the instant fisherman, thanks for the heads up. My son sees all these things advertised on TV and then tries to get us to buy them but we never know what he's talking about. I'm sure I will hear about this one soon.
I see this infomercial often-I like how compact this gets when folded up!
I haven't heard of this product but it sounds like a great item to own. I don't do much fishing but I'm happy that you enjoy this hobby.
This would be perfect to keep in your trunk for when you are off exploring the world and happen on a prime fishing hole.
This reminds me of the 'Pocket Fisherman' from the late 60's, early 70's.
Sounds like great fishing poles for the price!
Is this a redux of the Pocket Fisherman? I have not seen the commecial for this one, but I do remember the oldies. Yikes on the $12 shipping but I guess for two items, that's no so bad.
I just don't know about this. For $26 per rod? Is the reel included? I think they would break easily if you caught a big cat or striper. I think I'll have to stick with my Ugly Stick.
I don't really like fishing because of the tough work setting up my cheap rods haha xD maybe this will make it more enjoyable...
likes fishing, but in my own pool. So do not require sophisticated fishing equipment. But thanks for your review.
