Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 By SRreviewer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a very fast processor. It's clock speed is 3.16GHz. It can be clocked really high. I was able to clock it up to 3.8GHz without any problems. When clocked that you, you would need a better heat sink and fan to avoid overheating. I was able to run many high resourse eating games without any problems. It is absolutly the best processor i have tried. My current computer has this processor installed with the latest geforce agp along with 8gb ram and i do not regret buying this. If you need a processor, I suggest you buy this. There is no doubt this is one of the best processors out there. Even though the price can seem a tad high, the work it yeilds covers for that. To fully use the capabilities, you should buy a new motherboard with a good front side bus speed.

I have installed and used Vista with the processor. It installed quite quickly in my opinion. Many people would expect their computer to be lagging a little with vista, but with this processor, that's not a problem.
