Internet Phone Service By mnicole on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This is my number one choice for phone service. Just like the commercial says there is just one flat rate. I only pay $50.00 a month and i have lot of services with it.
Including:
*Call Waiting, Caller ID, Three Way Calling, Call Forwarding, Unlimited Long Distance, Free Local Calls, and Free Calls to Europe.
The audio quality is really good its just like regular phone service.
Now for the Cons of having internet phone service the key word here is INTERNET with out it you cant have any phone service. Which means of course you have to have internet service which that will cost you a range from $19.99-$60.00 depending on which provider you chose (cox, att, etc).
So when you look at the whole picture you are probably looking at at a $80.00 dollar bill monthly, but for quality and service i have to say its well worth it.
Vonage Phone Service Purchased at: vonage.com Price: 50.00

I use a different company but it is always good to hear about other options. Thanks for the information!
Like Alice said, I heard about what happened when someone tried to call 911 and that completely turned me against this company. I never thought a company would make you put in your credit card information to get a call through to 911. I really hope this plan works for you..
I personally don't like the concept of having your phone through your internet. If your internet goes out you don't have a phone, therefore if you have an emergency how are you going to call 911? I have a land line for that purpose only. Of course you can always call on a cell phone but your exact address does not come up only the cell phone tower your phone is pinging off of so if you can't speak for yourself the 911 operators and police operators have no idea where you are. I'm happy that you are happy with the service, hopefully it continues to work well for you.
This is so coincidental... I just went online to see if Vonage had service in my area yet. All of the cities around me have it, but it's not in my city yet. I think that's so odd, since I live in the capitol city of my state!
