Apple introduced this new line of Ipods this year and let me tell you it is another jump forward in industry standards. By introducing this model as a mid range product and jumping ahead witht the Ipod Touch they have granted us a boon that is too tempting to turn down. I say this because this is all that you should want in an MP3 player and you don't need anything more. It has good playback quality, easy to use software, comes with a pair of nice ear buds, and if these are anything like the last generation then they are built like soviet tank and are qually hard to ding up. I have dropped mine on concrete and still am able to play songs right after I pick it up and plug the headphones in without skipping a beat. If you are a regular butterfinger and enjoy a topnotch MP# player then this is the one for you.
