Ipod Nano By Daavery25 By daavery25 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased an iPod Nano for my daughter this past Christmas. It is the 1 gig and silver. Right away I noticed how you immediately have to down iTunes software from Apple. However, I was able to very easily upload all her favorite songs from CD. Her iPod started out with a ton of songs for absolutely no money, I thought that was a great way to start out. The iPod Nano is super-light...borderline flimsy. I'm not sure it would survive in the hands of a "rough" guy.

We found the iTunes software and the iTunes store fairly easy to navigate. Once I loaded a gift card for her, she found and downloaded the songs herself (with preapproval from me).

The best thing about the iPod is the "cool" factor. You are mostly paying for the name, but in the eyes of a 12-year-old that is worth way more than functionality.
