Ipod Touch Review
By lordofdarkness66 onThe iPod Touch is one of the latest in the series of iPods released by Apple. So far I haven't seen it being sold in Malaysia yet but my friend who went to the USA recently bought one back and I had the chance to meddle with it as usual. From what I saw, the Touch has a button for home which is seperate from the touch screen. It comes with an 8GB flash memory so no drop damage. It has all the basic iPod functions- music, video, photos (some were pre-loaded) and games. It even comes with a Safari web browser (Apple's version of Internet Explorer used in Apple's Mac PCs). The best thing is a YouTube accessing application. Now you might wonder how one will use the web browser and YouTube without an internet connection? The iPod can access internet through WiFi! Very useful in places like Starbucks. Its supposed to recognize the song thats currenty played in Starbucks from what I heard but we haven't figured out how that works yet. Some problems were found with the iPod's usage. Firstly, I couldn't use the WiFi in my friends college network at all. Something about a security issue. Secondly, the Touch cant be synchronized on an older PC. Apparently it can only be synced on the latest version of iTunes. Anyhow, this is one great invention by Apple. A media player that accesses the Internet is something most of us have always wanted.
