Iron Built For Forgetful People By Dom Sim on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This iron is great value for money. It is lightweight, only 1.2 kg, hence very portable. I always bring it with me on travelling trips. The performance is excellent and so far it hasn't break down yet despite of dropping onto the floor from the ironing board more than once. It has variable steam output for different types of fabrics and the steam distribution is very even, not like my old iron where the steam comes out in bloats. The bottom of the iron is scratch resistant and the iron plate is very durable. The smooth gliding Ceralon soleplate makes ironing easy, not only for me but also for my old aged mum. It comes with a long cord so it is easily manipulated to suitable places. The unique water level indicator is very useful because it tells us when we need to refill the water. Another plus point is, it heats up very quickly thus saving our electricity bill. The best feature I like about this iron is, as a forgetful person, I always tend to forget to off my iron after ironing but now with this Philips iron I need not worry anymore because it has an automatic cut off after 2 hours, very brilliant idea from Philips indeed.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Sounds like a good iron especially the automatic shutoff

I'm so bad with an iron, this one sounds easy enough for me

It is a really nice safety feature that it shuts off by itself I always worry if I turn things off or not.
