Is That A Sack You're Carrying? No, A Sak!!!! By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This spring and summer almost everywhere I've gone, I've seen a handbag called The Sak. I have bought several of the crocheted kind. The one I am reviewing is aqua with a pink crocheted flower attached. It zips closed. It reminds me of my days in Atlanta as a teenaged hippie. But hey-I'm still hip--just a little older. :)

In fact, The Sak designers, Mark Talucci and Todd Elliott drew their inspiration for the first handbags from local hippie textile shows in Brazil and Mexico. They say they want their style to be free and happy, evoking peace and harmony (and all those buzzwords.) Well, if a handbag can do that, the Sak is certainly capable. They offer woven rattan bags, crocheted, canvas, and leather, to name a few styles.

After doing a little research, I learned that The Sak is one of the largest handbag companies in the United States. I love the bright colors they offer, as well as the neutrals for those who are not so bold. The Sak just makes you happy. I feel good when I carry mine. I think everyone would be well-pleased with this handbag.
