Island Bath Timer Gets Kids Out Of Tub On Time
By JPnMO onFor every parent who has ever tried to get their kids out of the bath tub, this toy may be for you. It lets your child play while learning about time. It has a real working timer which you set at 5 minute intervals. There is a floating island with a cute little clam that flashes every five seconds. There are 2 alligators that your child can squirt water with. The timer will beep 30 seconds before time is up. Kids can learn to keep time and (hopefully) understand that when the beeper goes off, it's time to get out of the tub. Maybe you can teach your child what "five more minutes" actually means and that things must be done within a certain time frame. A child can have fun while learning at the same time, which in my opinion is the best way to teach them.
Even though this has a timer, young children should never be left alone while in a tub.
This is recommended for children 12 mo. and up. It is sold only at Walmart.

Sounds like a great idea. I have kids that take looong showers - wonder if it works for teens too ;) Thanks for the info
I'm 19 and STILL don't get out of the tub for an hour. ;)
I think this is a GREAT idea! I used to desperately set a kitchen timer, as my little girl never wanted to get out of the tub. But she hated the harsh sound of the ringer, and really resented it. Something like this would have been a little more gentle, and a LOT more fun!
