Islands Islands Review By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Now this is a magazine you can really escape with!

I really like this magazine. I was able to get 12 issues free and have received 3 so far. It has beautiful photography with amazing colors.

The issue I am reviewing is for April/May. It seemed like a special edition and was called Islands, World's Best Private Islands. The private islands featured include Fatu Hiva, Isla Mona and Kangaroo Island; Princess Royal Island; Tatau, Fregate Island, Matangi, Peter Island, Lizard Island, Sonora Island, Pamalican Island, Veli and Dhigu; Pine Cay, Akitua, Cayo Espanto and Star Island.

In this issue, in the article, Cooking Island-Style, I heard about a book that looked really good. The book is called D.K.'S Sushi Chronicles from Hawaii by Dave D.K. Kodama. The maki rolls on the cover look so delectable.

One thing to make note of: there are a lot of ads, ads for hotels, travel agencies, etc. On the other hand, there are many amazing pictures with the articles that make up for the advertisements. Also, the articles are quite good. Many are of people's personal travel stories. Each issue at the newstand costs $4.99. For more information on the magazine, see http://islands.com/magazine

(I did not review the top issue in my picture. It was one of the ones under it)
