Isotoner Satin Ballerina Slippers By Jessica Yamaguchi on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Isotoner Satin ballerina Slippers are available in a variety of different colors. I have the black ones. The soles of these are made of soft flexible leather usually a white to light grey in color. The rest of the slipper is made of a satin material enhanced with Lycra as well to make it stretchy and have a more comfy fit. The inside is kind of a terry cloth. There is a little bow placed at the top middle of the slipper. These really do look like ballerina slippers.

I get a new pair every Christmas (at least I have the last 3 years), these are very well made so they aren't falling apart after a year...the inside padding tends to get worn/flattened making it not as cushy as when they are new. That's why I replace them every year. I wear them all the time when I am home. They are just so very comfy and cute! One of the things I like about them is that they are not bulky…they are thin but they still keep your feet warm. I use them all year round, but they are especially comfy in the winter. Another thing I really like about these is that since they have the lycra/satin they really hug your foot and stay in place..even the heel part!

One thing that has irritated me with this last pair I bought. The darn bow part doesn't stay tied so I keep stepping on it! I think it was just a problem with this particular pair because it has never been a problem with the others I've had. I finally glued the darn thing the other day.

I used these when I went to the hospital to deliver my son. They were perfect, kept my feet warm, and kept me from walking barefoot on the hospital floor it also helps keep you from slipping. I'm not saying they are completely slip proof but it did help which was important because I had C-section when I had my son. Plus I don't know about you but walking barefoot on a hospital floor just grosses me out!

Another thing these came in handy for was when I traveled to Hawaii. LONG plane ride! I just brought these in my carry on and traded my shoes for the slippers once I got on the plane! MUCH MORE COMFY!

These are very easy to wash, you just throw them in the washing machine and wash with like colors…and then just air dry.

I think these are great! They are awesome for just lounging around comfy in your house, for traveling. I would recommend these to any one (women) who likes comfy house slippers!

I got mine at JC Penney's for about $12.99. I know they go on sale every year, usually for about $6.99 a pair. They can be found all over, Gottschalk's, Mervyns, Sears…they are more commonly found around fall and winter but I have seen them lately in some stores. These are also available in a terry cloth upper instead of the satin, I have not tried these but they look comfy so I might. I am just so stuck on the ones I already use!

I was not aware that Isotoner made "slippers" but I'm not surprised that they are great.
