It gets the point pencil sharpener

I received as a gift over five years ago a Royal the point pencil sharpener for my home office. It is powered by four AA batteries, and does a outstanding job sharpening pencils. My wife insists on a sharp point on her pencils. Royal's the Point sharpener is very easy to use. A five year old could figure this out without instructions. It has a large see through compartment for the pencil shavings that accumulate. I am extremely happy with the sharpeners reliability, simplicty of design, quietness, battery usage,and functionality. It sharpen a pencil in two seconds or less. It is a very safe and stable design. The only maintenance I have done is replace the batteries once before march 2005 and empty the shavings when the chamber is full. It is 2 x 2 x4 inches in size. We still use a large number of 2 pencils in our house so it gets a good workout. It just keeps sharpening, sharpening, and sharpening.
